Facbook does not get past login and a blank home screen
When I try to access Facebook, I've encountered problems. I can get it to load the login page and when I log in, my home page is blank. I have tried to refresh and reload the page numerous times and it still does the same thing. I've shut the computer down and re-started it, and the same result. All other sites I have tried load just fine. I've cleared my history and cache, defragged and done a registry clean and am at a loss now! Can anyone help?
I was online and using Facebook earlier today with no trouble and have never had this happen before. The only thing that I did today was remove NoScript because I was tired of dealing with the minutia involved with it.
I found a very similar question from two years ago with comments that made no sense at all to me.

Did you clear cookies as well?
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

You can try to reset (power off/on) the router.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
Thank you for your prompt response. Clearing th Cookies seemed to do the trick.
