Screen Freezes

Firefox 21.0

Hello,

Since installing FF 21.0 I have been encountering many screen freezes.

I never receive an error message.

Complete loss of control: no mouse functionality, ESC button will not clear the freeze.

I am experiencing 5-10 of these freezes every day. They seem to self-clear in 60 to 240 seconds. Alternatively, I can reboot the computer. Either way, it is a hassle.

Anyone else having this problem?

Any way to solve the problem?

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
