Quite frequently when I try to go to one of my bookmarked sites (in this case it was http://www.consumercellular.com/) I get the message "Firefox can't find the server at slirsredirect.search.aol.com." Once this message appears, I can't get to any site until I reboot my router. Then everything seems to be back to normal again.

Try to use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).
