Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

Hi, I have Microsoft security essentials - I have windows 7 installed, but when I boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode wit network support there appears no F8 button (this F8 is only for XP Pro as I remember) so I can't make this test. - Question, if I completely uninstall Firefox, could that arrange the problem (but what happens with Favorites-history etc.) thanks for your help and comment - Markus
Hi, I have no answer to my question, what happens with the data, or what data get lost, .when I uninstall Firefox ? (bookmarks etc.)
As long as you do not remove personal data when uninstalling you won't lose your bookmarks/
- Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
Hi, I uninstalled Firefox, but no result, same crash report after new install!!?? What else could I try? Thanks for suggestions. Maegu
