My company's signed Java applet runs fine from online websites. The applet is designed also to be used from CDs and other local file systems. However it does not now run at all when running locally, eg from a URL like this: file:///D|/fiscd/search2.htm

The applet tag looks like this: <APPLET CODE=fisCD NAME=fisCD WIDTH=500 HEIGHT=300 ARCHIVE="fiscd.jar" MAYSCRIPT> </APPLET>

I think this started in Firefox 23 and is possibly related to this fix: http://www.mozilla.org/security/announce/2013/mfsa2013-75.html

Other users are also seeing this problem.

Do you have a fix for this problem? Can you check that local signed Java applets can run OK please? Any other suggestions?

Here is the Java applet product info (FindinSite-CD): http://www.phdcc.com/fiscd/

Thanks in advance, Chris
