Internet browsing slow when Adobe Flash 11 installed

OS: Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 32 bit Operating System Firefox V 25.0

Ever since the Adobe update, my browsing speed has slowed to a crawl. I can't tell if it was a Firefox update or Adobe. However, when I uninstall the Adobe Flash player, my speed resumes back to normal. The browsing speed issue seems to affect all browsers too. I tried others (IE and Chrome) and they both do the same.

Does this occur on Firefox 24.0 <strike>because Firefox 25.0 is still in beta</strike> Firefox 25.0 is no longer in beta?

Try disabling the Adobe Flash Player plugin and see if your browsing speed increases.

Also consider disabling the Flash Player plugin's protected mode. This won't affect IE or Chrome, since they use different Adobe executables. See this support article from Adobe under the heading "Last Resort": Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?

Yes. It occurs on Firefox 24.0 as well. I don't think it's related to Firefox since it happens on other browsers as well but thought I would try this forum anyway. When I uninstall Flash Player 11, my internet browsing speeds return to normal.

Try uninstall Flash Player and delete all Flash Player application data and program directories. Then reinstall Adobe Flash Player.

Please report back soon.
