start page is wrong
My home page should be my.yahoo.com Instead it comes up with Google search page. Thia problem just started happening several days ago.

By the way, is it the built-in Firefox home page (has special Firefox buttons along the bottom) or does the address bar show an address on google.com (or other Google site)?
After start-up, can you see that the setting was changed, or is it the same and was ignored?
If it was changed, check for a user.js file as described in this article: How to fix preferences that won't save.
If it was ignored, check for:
- A specific page added to the shortcut you use to start Firefox: right-click the icon > Properties > Shortcut tab > "Target" line. It should end with firefox.exe" and not list a URL after it.
- An extension overriding Firefox's normal behavior. Not sure what extension would suggest using Google, they usually suggest other things, but you can review them on the Add-ons page. Either Ctrl+Shift+a or orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons, then in the left column, click Extensions. Anything unrecognized or particularly Googlish?
