What are your standard cookie settings? You can check on the Privacy tab of the Options dialog: orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Privacy

In order to see the details, you need the "Firefox will" drop-down set to "Use custom settings for history".

For example:

|X| Accept cookies from sites
    Accept third-party cookies: Always
    Keep until: I close Firefox
