Very old information (such as bookmarks) is synchronized after reinstalling

Hi, Due to some problems I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it today. I'm pretty sure I clicked the sync button before uninstalling. However, when I reinstalled and logged in, the data from years ago was synchronized to my laptop instead of the latest data. Fortunately, Firefox on my iPad still has the latest data. What should I do now to sync Firefox data from the iPad to the laptop Firefox? Cheers. Martin

Keep in mind that the initial sync can take quite some time to finish and isn't instantly (done in small chunks) especially if you have a large amount of bookmarks. If you didn't wait long enouh then it is possible that still the old bookmarks are on the Sync server.

Note that Sync isn't designed to be used as a backup, but is merely meant to sync data between connected devices.
