If you check your Add-ons page, what version of the Norton Toolbar do you currently have listed there? You can open that up using either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then scroll down to the grayed out area toward the bottom. Also, you could try Enable again in case Firefox has detected that the newest version is available on your system.
Norton toolbar 2014.7.0.46 and there's no button to click on to Enable it again
There is supposed to be a newer version 2014.7.2.6 as of June 9th: Firefox 30 Support for Norton Toolbar - Norton Community. I'm not sure why LiveUpdate isn't picking it up.
Sometimes it takes multiple LiveUpdate runs to get Norton fully updated. I recall a few users mentioning that it took 6 or 7 attempts to "LiveUpdate" Norton to get all their Firefox add-ons updated from the Norton servers.
As everyone who uses Comcast as their ISP has free access to Norton 360 (and millions use it), why do y'all allow this to happen almost every time you issue an update? A little coordination between you and Symantec Corp. seems appropriate. Just i thought
Symantec usually has an update ready on the same day that Mozilla releases the new version of Firefox; or within a few days afterwards.
The Comcast updates however have often been slow even to point of skipping a Firefox version.
