My bookmarks toolbar is gone & won't come back, how do I get it back?
I have already googled the problem & have tried all of the suggested fixes. When I click on the "Show your bookmarks" icon in the upper right, I can click on "Bookmarks Toolbar" and I can see the bookmarks in a list, but they are no longer on a bar near the top of my screen and the "View Bookmarks Toolbar" is already checked. Also, I have already opened the menu, hit customize, & then Show/Hide Toolbars, & the "Bookmarks Toolbar" is checked.
What is prohibiting my bookmarks toolbar from showing?

When you turn the Bookmarks Toolbar on and off, does anything happen at all -- for example, do you get a blank bar? Other ways to access the toolbar list include:
- right-click a blank area of the tab bar
- right-click the "+" button on the tab bar
- tap the Alt key to show the menu bar temporarily, then View > Toolbars
- "3-bar" menu button > Customize > Show/Hide Toolbars
Sometimes the file that stores toolbar status becomes corrupted. You can rename the file and customize from scratch.
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
- (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button
Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit, either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
- (menu bar) File > Exit
Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename localstore.rdf to something like localstore.old
Start Firefox back up again. Can you turn on the Bookmarks Toolbar?
