I inadvertently deleted the the small window in the top bar. My home page is cnn but the small window had google. How can I put it back?
I want to add a small window to the right side of the home page announcement, that appears on the left of the bar. I inadvertently deleted it and can't get it back.

Sounds like the Search Bar. It might have moved to the menu (the panel that opens when you click the "3-bar" menu button), or into the dialog of unused controls.
If you find it either place, you can right-click > Move to Toolbar or in customize mode you can drag it exactly where you want it.

Can you get it back?
If you right-click a toolbar item in normal (non-customize) mode then you can (re)move an item.
- "Remove from Toolbar" will remove this item from the Navigation Toolbar and moves it to the Customize palette ("3-bar" Firefox menu button > Customize)
- "Move to Menu" will move this item to the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list
- "Move to Toolbar" in the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list will move this item to the toolbar
Note that the search bar has changed in Firefox 34 and now only shows a generic search icon and no longer a specific search engine icon and name.
