HNY

I rebooted my PC to factory state and reinstalled TB. Now, my 2 emails in it (both gmail) open in expanded tree format. See attached pic. I can manually close those trees to only few really needed ones. But I have to do it every time, and why? How do I set it up so that TB does NOT by default expand the view? Didn't do it before. Annoying.

Thank you

Thunderbird strores some settings in session files ccLeaner and some anti virus programs, along with som lkess reputable "privacy protectors" delete the file to protext your provacy. It is by far the most common reason setting like the state of the tree and the preview pane just do not appear to stick.

Another are Windows roling back to qa known good state because the file or other were corrupted.

Yet another is file system privileges, you account does not have privileges to modify the relevant files, or they are read only. Read only is usually a result of having them of a CD.
