I am plagued with intrusive adds on Firefox with Addblock installed
I keep getting ads from "nicenfree" which keep interrupting my browser session and are particularly annoying
Chosen solution
It appears nicenfree is known as potentially unwanted adware nicenfree malware affecting IE and your experience shows it also affects Firefox.
Look for any unknown Firefox addons an obvious one shown in your information aside is
- nicenifreee 8.0 (bRk@0.org)
In future try to take more care with what you install, look out especially for bundled software where you are given things you do not want.
You could also look in the Windows Control Panel at your installed programs but you need to take care not to uninstall something you actually need. Sorting by date may help.
I advice you scan your system with multiple and up to date tools including AdwCleaner. Please post back to say how you get on and what you found.
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit Utility - TDSSKiller
- AdwCleaner (for more info, see this alternate AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Hi john99, Thanks for the information which has solved most of my problems. It appears that I downloaded a load of rubbish when attempting to get Spybot which I used to use regularly until I lost it off my system, however I will now use the software that you have told me about. Thank you again, Ron Swinnerton
