I have backed up with MozBackup and will install T-bird and all the content on a different PC. My question is how do I remove T-bird (which I very much like) and all the other bits and pieces (e-mails, lists) from the 'old' machine?

One riff : How would I proceed if I wanted to keep one or two accounts and its e-mails and T-bird on the 'old' machine while stripping out all the other e-mails, etc?

Could both PCs then then share an account? I have Win7 Pro 64. Both machines. Will go to Win 10 some time late next year after .1 comes out but before the free exchange offer ends.

You'll need to delete the profile. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Thunderbird

You'd delete the stuff you want to get rid of, and just keep what you need.

If that means accessing the account from multiple computers, then yes, that's possible. It's recommended to set up the account as an IMAP account on both computers for this.
