When I long-tap a URL of a website I can only paste it into the navigation field of another tab. How do I paste it to the body of a tab, E.g. in too an email I am composing. Put another way, how do I share a URL with someone else?

To share a page, this might be easier: the Firefox for Android menu has a sharing icon near the top and if you tap that one of the sharing options should be your mail program. See: How do I share things from Firefox for Android?

But sometimes you really will prefer to copy and paste. The details of this could be one of those "it depends on your Android version" things...

If I long press the URL bar, I get a popup with two choices: Copy Address and Add to Home Screen. (If a different address is already on the clipboard, I also get Paste & Go and Paste.)

If I tap on a field where I want to paste, I either get a bar at the top of the screen with a clipboard icon or I first need to long press and then I get the bar with a clipboard icon. That icon allows me to paste in the field.

I think on a previous version of Android there was a pop-up button labeled PASTE that would appear near where I long-pressed. I don't see that any more after a recent Android update.

Is yours anything like that?

I do not link my email provider so it is not one of the sharing options. Copy to clipboard is, however, but I cannot get it off the clipboard onto ....well, anything. So, no, that is dysfunctional. Using the c&p option, if I long-tap the URL I get all four of the options you note. If I choose Copy Address, then go to an email I am writing, I do not get ANY type of paste option, icon, bar, etc. Nothing.

(Sorry about that mess above. This copy and paste feature in Android is truly terrible)

If you long press in the email, does it give other options not including Paste, or is it unresponsive to that gesture? Is this a webmail site you're using in Firefox, or a completely different app?

If I long press in the body of the email I get nothing, no options. I am using an email provider that I log on to, in Firefox, as I would when using a desk/lap top.
