Google-Analytics appears to cause 'freeze' during FF initiation

During FF initiation a msg appears abt interaction with Google-Analytics. During the period of interaction the system freezes. Sometimes starting Task Mgr will break the "log-jam". Google is no longer the search engine but the problem persists. (1) what is Google-Analytics and how can it be eliminated ? (2) if it cannot be eliminated how can the freeze be avoided and FF initiation be done faster ?

Thanx, Bewildered Bob

ps: Running Win 7 and FF rls 39

Log-jam is also a name of a security exploitation, however you are referring to the freezing here. Google analytics is a service provided by Google for free that webmasters put in their site to track user traffic anonymously. I would not imagine blocking it would interfere with the functionality of the site. You can try Do not Track or a script blocker like No script.
