When I type in topic the search bar shifts to top left. Hitting enter leaves topic in search bar but blank page where results normally are shown.

You can check in "Options/Preferences > Search" (about:preferences#search) if there is a search engine selected. If necessary the click "Restore Default Search Engines".

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
