Please don't SHOUT IN ALL CAPS at the support volunteers.
Why do you say Firefox for Android is killing your battery? What is it doing during the time that it appears to be overly active?

A fix is coming in Firefox 43.0 for Android.
Also please do not comment in the mentioned Bugzilla links in those threads as the general issues tracker Bugzilla is not a discussion forum like here as "Me too" comments in Bugzilla is spam.
Turning off dom.presentation.discovery.enabled in about:config might work as a temporary workaround until it gets properly fixed.
I must be a slow reader. Sorry for the repetition.
Okay, after the excitement wore off, I did some searches on "mdnsd". This appears to be a problem with excess network traffic on mobile networks (does not seem to be an issue on wi-fi networks).
The developers are actively working on a fix for Firefox 43, but so far, users report that the changes in Firefox Beta on the Play Store haven't fixed it yet.
One person proposed this workaround, but another reported that it doesn't work:
(1) Open a new tab to about:config (type about:config in the Awesomebar and tap the go arrow or tap Enter).
You may want to bookmark this for easier future access.
(2) In the search box, type disc and pause while Firefox filters the list
(3) Scroll down to dom.presentation.discovery.enabled and tap the preference, then tap Toggle to switch it from true to false
