Iv'e followed all advice on freezing, script error and slowness yet it still happens regularly so?
Firefox will freeze at any time or site. The same holds true for script errors. Almost every time I open Firefox I get "..seems slow to start" Learn to Speed it up and this can happen 2-3 times a day. I have reinstalled. changed settings for script and refreshed I don't know how many times. I like and recommend Firefox but I need you help with the above problems. I'm XP Home and Pro on P4 3200.

You have this on two different systems? Are you using sync?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
Two to 3 times a day isn't very often, depending upon how many hours you are online in a typical day.
Overall, using an E-O-L, 14 y.o. operating system like WinXP, on an older PC that probably is 'short' of RAM, coupled with 'modern' websites that may draw data and scripts from a dozen or more domains that can vary a lot in content delivery speed, can easily set the user up for having problems such as you describe.
More RAM and running the NoScript extension might help you 'live' with WinXP on a P4 PC, but given the "modern internet" and content rich websites the 'real solution' would be a new PC and at least Win7; more in keeping with the "internet of today".
