smtp error 4.7.0 what is it
Sending email from 2 accounts, renegades9@hughes.net and n9dix@hughes.net. I have 3 other hughesnet accounts and they work fine. As far as I can tell the following error is coming from there smtp server. I also have setup Microsoft Live Mail, a shorten version of Outlook and also get the same error. This is what I got back.
The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's email address. The sender's email address was 'renegades9@hughes.net'.
Subject 'Test' Server Error: 452 Server Response: 452 4.7.0 [F12] Exceeded sending limits. Server: 'smtp.hughes.net' Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC78 Protocol: SMTP
I get the same error when sending from Thunderbird. To pease the tech's at Hughes Net, which is overseas, I did what they asked. Also it's been sent to level 4 tech and they keep telling me there is nothing wrong with there smtp server. I have 3 other email accounts on Hughes.net and they all work correctly, even using either port 25 or port 587. I can not get a straight answer from there tech support. All I need to know is this error being generated by Thunderbird, (which I don't think it is) or is it being sent from Hughes SMTP server. Thanks for any help. Very frustrated. Regards to all. Jim
Chosen solution
It says it came from a server. There are no Thunderbird servers.
It specifically name hughes.net as the server.
It says you exceeded a limit of some kind. Thunderbird has no limits. Providers set limits.
It is happening when using 2 different email clients.
I will take a wild guess and say it is your provider.

Airmail, Thanks. That is exactly what I've been telling the "so call tech's" at Hughes. All they can do is read a script and if your out in left field, there lost. I knew there wasn't any limits in TB but try to convince the script readers. Even there level 4 techs don't know what to do. If and when I get this resolved I'll let you know. Again thanks for the answer. - Jim
