How to receive an alert when I insert a flash drive in a USB port?
Recently I stopped getting notices when I inserted my Kingston flash drive into my USB port. I don't know what changed or if this is something that no longer occurs. Perhaps this is something outside of Firefox.
Chosen solution
I tried your response from above and it described about how to play various forms of media from a USB Flash Drive.
I was able to resolve my issue this afternoon by looking at my McAfee Contents under the Help sections ( McAfee Multi Access - Total Protection is provided free by my cable provider).
The resolution to my problem was to go to Navigation Center, select General Settings and Alerts, select Informational Alerts, and click the box beside the option reading: A new removable media drive is detected on my PC.
Thanks for your help by confirming this was NOT a Firefox issue. That bit of information set me on the right path to find the resolution (I have already tried it and now I am getting the alert message I have been use to seeing. Also I remember, in retrospect, a recent update to McAfee may have been the reason for this being deselected.
