Flash player crop videos
Hello Mozilla support and community,
I got a weird problem with Flash Player since a few days. Everything was fine, but one day, the videos played on Flash Player appeared with black stripes around, even in full screen mode. So, I can't see the videos' edges, like the videos are cropped, but there's no use, kinda weird...
So I tried many solutions: - Firefox is up to date (I even tried the beta version, not yet Aurora or Nightly build, but I'm starting to think about it if shumway really exists) - Flash Player is also up to date - I turned off every single plug-in or extension I can have, one by one, to see if one was causing the trouble, but nope
So I'm asking it to you guys, in case anyone could have a solution. I tried playing the same videos in Google Chrome and no problem, no crop, everything's fine, like before in Firefox. I'll use it waiting for Firefox to be fine again.
Thanks.
P.-S. Attached is a screenshot of pluzz, a french TV replay using flash player with the effect on the edges. Don't hesitate to ask if you need more information.

Could this be a zoom-related issue? If you enlarge (hold Ctrl and tap the + key once or twice) or reduce (hold the Ctrl key and tap the - key once or twice) do the border/margin areas change?
Hi,
Thanks for the quick answer jscher2000. I tried what you suggested, but it changed nothing unfortunately.
Could you give a full link to a page that has this problem? I'm curious whether anything in their HTML or CSS could be adding that border.
But of course!
An example here on pluzz: http://pluzz.francetv.fr/videos/le_film_du_tour_,142641166.html This is on other websites using Flash Player such as Crunchyroll (if you know): http://crunchyroll.com/
If you find anything in their code, don't hesitate to share!
Hmm, FranceTV doesn't show me that one due to my being out of country. I looked at a different one that gets borders in Firefox when I zoom, but at 100% (true 100%, which means I need to go down to 80% in Firefox), it is similar to Chrome.
Modified
On Crunchyroll, there's a bit of border that moves around at different zoom levels. Firefox is not resizing perfectly, perhaps there's a rounding error somewhere. Anyway, I don't see the thick borders you see.
Thanks for the help.
I don't know where the borders come from, it's really weird. And no matter what I do, it seems I can't zoom in or out in Flash Player. Just in the browser, but the thick borders still exists on the video (since they are caused by Flash itself). I guess I'll have to switch to Chrome, at least for Flash Player content. Hopefully it'll change one day with an update or whatever and turn back to how it was before.
