I created 2-step verification on Google. I also used the setting there to enable trusted devices.

When I used Firefox to log onto Gmail I received a code on my phone, entered it, and selected the option to not require a new code each time. However, I have to get a new code every time I start Gmail on Firefox.

This doesn't happen when I use Chrome.

hi, please make sure that you keep cookies from accounts.google.com across sessions - if you delete them google doesn't recognize your device again and treats it as a new instance required to enter a token from the 2-factor-authentication mechanism.
