Flash player doesn't work
Hi, flash player on www.mixcloud.com doesn't work on my version of Mozilla Firefox 50.0, latest Adobe flash player and Windows XP 32-bit OS. I've installed Google Chrome and it works (plays) fine. And on Firefox player tries to start playing without an end (no error code is being displayed). Please help me, because I do not like Google Chrome. I want use my Firefox again. Regards
Chosen solution
Well, it took me long enough, but I finally found it:
Mixcloud uses Windows Media Player.
And like I said before: M4A is not supported by Windows Media Player for Windows XP.

I've installed the Media Player plugin but the music is being still not played. And yes, Shockwave flash and Adobe flash player are up to date. ActiveX and PPAPi plugin are not installed, if it's important anyway.
But what actually is the difference between Shockwave and Flash player? I thought it is the one plugin called diversely.

Adobe Flash Player and Shockwave Flash refer to the same thing.
It's the Shockwave for Director or Shockwave Player that's different.
See : https://forums.adobe.com/thread/769607
So I need both of them. But shockwave is built in the web browser and updated automatically, so I do no need to worry about it, right?

Right !
And you can check to see if you're running the latest Adobe Flash Player by going to Windows Control Panel -> click on Flash Player, and it will open the Settings Manager. Click on 'Updates' and it should say: 23.0.0.207
Yes, it is the version.
Do not confuse the Windows Media Player and the HTML5 media player. In this case the media file is played by the HTML5 media player with type="audio/mp4; codecs="mp4a.40.2" Since you are on Windows XP, you do not have support for playing MP4 files.
<audio preload="auto"><source src="https://stream6.mixcloud.com/c/m4a/64/1/4/a/7/xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx.m4a" type="audio/mp4; codecs="mp4a.40.2""></audio>

No the separate Shockwave Flash (normally referred to as Flash Player) or Shockwave (for director) Player is not built in Firefox as it is installed on the OS. As a result Firefox has no means of uninstalling or updating those Plugins.
Type about:plugins in the Location (address) bar in Firefox to see where the Plugins your Firefox is making use of in located on your system. This and other about: urls are listed in about:about
The image below shows what each refers to in the Plugins panel of the Addons Manager in Firefox. Ignore the versions in image as they are old.
Modified
Probably that's why sometimes I can't view uploaded by myself Full HD videos on YouTube but as HD or lower. And others can. Thank you for claryfing it.
I've just downgraded Firefox to 49.0.1 and the player still doesn't work. I am confused right now.
