Is the "Long URL Please" Firefox Extension safe?
The "Long URL Please" Firefox Extension Add-on has interesting features, but there are suspecting issues:
1. Link to the Add-on homepage, on the longurlplease.com domain, is off-topic and in a foreign language. It is mandarin (?!). With Google Translate the website homepage title is "For Dog Food Beginners"
2. The last update version is old. Version 0.5.1.1-signed.1-signed, Released February 25, 2012. And it even get updated to Version 1.0
3. The last user reviews are very low, and with a simple calculation based on the user ratings we can find that more than 24% users are unsatisfied with this add-on.
So, may I take serious the advice safe from the "Get Smart On the Web" Mozilla Teach The Web Cybersecurity Campaign (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/teach/smarton/security/) on "Install a security system" section down page in the "Firefox Add-ons" recommendations to use and link to "Long URL please" extension?
Anyone?
Thanks.

Sorry, I think that page was created in 2015 and has not been updated recently. It definitely need a refresh. I'm not sure how to get involved with that. I'll try to find out and update this thread.
Meanwhile, I didn't see any working replacements in a quick search of the Add-ons site.
