When I am writing a message in my in box email and when I want to check my spelling I right click the mouse and the spelling check isn't there? so can you please tell me where to find it and switch it on! Thank you Steve Norris.

You may need to turn on the option in the settings, although that should not have suddenly changed. Some versions of Firefox for specificc languages such as the British English do not come witha spell checker by default and one has to be added manually.

Possibly this could be related to the change of version of Firefox related to Windows XP EOL See also

The website may have disabled the built-in Firefox spelling checker. You can check that via the right-click context menu in the Inspector.

You can right-click in the text editor area and use "Inspect Element" to see if this text area has a spellcheck="false" attribute. Removing this spellcheck="false" attribute by selecting it via a double-click and using the Delete or Backspace key should make the Check Spelling item in the right-click context menu reappear.
