uMatrix has replaced NoScript as the new web page filter. Not only can you block a site's Javascript, you can also disable cookies, media, stylesheets, XHR (whatever those are), and other sorts of secrets. What's more, you can turn off uMatrix's intrusive blocking features for a specific domain and/or its subdomain. One problem: it doesn't always work. I've been to a few websites where uMatrix causes problems. For example, on DeviantArt, if you have uMatrix enabled while you're logged in, the next page you visit, DA automatically logs you out. But if you manage to whitelist the correct sites and/or its reliance on certain functions, you will get an annoying header that says "Please upgrade your browser to access DeviantArt" with a link that takes you to Google Chrome. Even the blue power button that turns uMatrix on or off for selected domains doesn't work. That header is HTML trickery: a DIV code tucked inside a Javascript that is executed the instant you whitelist all of DeviantArt's sub-domains. This is true for the forced log out measure as well. The only way for a visitor to view DeviantArt without obstruction is to disable uMatrix completely. Not by its power button - but by going into the Extensions tab of the Add-Ons Manager and clicking Disable on uMatrix. Don't forget to refresh the page (and log back in if you're a DA user). This is going to be a major pain in the butt. There are websites that I trust wholeheartedly like YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and so on. Sites that house web enhanced scripts like jQuery or text rich fonts like Google Fonts, those can easily be whitelisted. But if I go to DA with uMatrix on, the add-on is either going to annoy me or kill my session. I want to know if there is a way to blacklist an add-on whenever you go to certain sites. Most Add-Ons have an Options button for advanced users. I would like something for uMatrix to have a "Disable uMatrix completely for the following websites" and I could type in the struggling domain URL. One thing: I want to know how to do this without being forced to create a new Firefox profile.
