I want to use the saved log ins and password for a web site. When I manually enter the ID and password, the "save..don't save" box does not appear. in the previous version, I was able to use the add-on..password editor. after the update..it is no longer compatible I'm using Windows 10 on a PC

The password add-on may have turned off the Save Logins.

Type about:preferences#security<enter> in the address bar. Note: For Firefox 56+ its; about:preferences#privacy

Under Logins, Turn on Remember Logins. To check the passwords you have listed, press Saved Logins.

Hi FredMcD, Happy New Year The box does come up to enter my master password when I go to a site that has a saved password. My problem is that some sites won't let me have a saved password in the browser. Before the update, I could use the password editor add-on and type in the info. I know that with some sites, it isn't a good idea to have a saved password. I'm trying to do it with a non sensitive site

If you don't want to use the Master Password, just shut it off.

Warning: There are some web pages that do not allow browsers to record or fill in the log-in information. But if you go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) you can find several add-ons that can override this, and give you better control of your password information. You can also try a Form Filling add-on.

The new version of firefox has made useful add-ons not usable. I haven't found anything to force it to save passwords, when the box doesn't automatically popup. I have the bookmarklet that is supposed to make it save passwords, but that doesn't work.

Lacking the password editor is something I am very sad about.

I would have lost so many useful add-ons, I stopped updating with v54.
