Since some time ago, Firefox simply stops pasting from a clipboard from other programs. If I copy something within the Firefox, it'll work. But copying from other programs, and trying to paste it - it does not work - Firefox keeps pasting the last remembered one. To resolve it, I have to close it, and open again. Then it works for some time, and then the same pasting problem happens again. This is very frustrating. I searched through the existing posts, but anything I found was not applicable. I run the latest FF version on High Sierra. The two active add-ons I have are uBlock Origin and Web Developer.

SAFE MODE

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected

TEST -- If no issues then it is a Extension or your Profile, move to next :

Note: Any customization will revert back to default, you will also need to reinstall Extensions.
