How do you add bookmark separators to the bookmark toolbar and get them to display on the toolbar?

I just updated to FF 57/58. (I hate the inability to use my legacy addons) I guess I will eventually get used to the way the interface looks but I am having a real problem with the bookmark toolbar. In the pre-FF57 releases, you could add separator marks between each item on the bookmarks toolbar. These separators made it easier to view the separate items on th toolbar. Unfortunately, with FF57, this doesn't seem to work. If you right click on the toolbar, the drop down menu gives the option to add a "NEW SEPARATOR" but when to click this, the new separator does not display on the toolbar. How can I get this t work?

Just right-click on the Bookmarks Toolbar where you want to add a Separator and select New Separator ...

Thank you for taking time to reply to my post. However, had you read it carefully, it says " If you right click on the toolbar, the drop down menu gives the option to add a "NEW SEPARATOR" but when to click this, the new separator does not display on the toolbar. How can I get this t work?". So you see, I've already performed this task with no results.

Do you see the separators in the sidebar (Ctrl+B)?

With some Windows themes the separators might hardly be visible. You can try different Windows themes to see if you can find one that works better.

Thank you. Your suggestion my have some validity to it but I have decided to delete FF 57/58 and reinstall 56. There are just too many things in 57 that are not working or create other problems within my Win 7 operating system. I'll most probably go back to either Internet Explorer (YUK!!!!) or Safari; something along those lines. Firefox has just become a hopeless endeavor.
