Hi Fatimah, sorry to hear about the crashes and thank you for the report ID.

That crash "signature" doesn't look familiar and I found only one other matching report on file in recent weeks, so there isn't very much data available to point toward a specific culprit.

Do you have any other crash reports that could shed additional light? Please check the support article "Firefox crashes - asking for support" for steps to get those crash report IDs from the about:crashes page or, if necessary, from disk, and then post some of the other recent ones here.

Also and/or meanwhile, could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? That temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features of Firefox that might make it more prone to crashing on some systems.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Any less crashy?

Let's make sure your system is clean.

You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
