Greetings! I welcome all assistance. Mail provider Frontier.com ISP Frontier.com OS 10.11.3 Thunderbird 52.7.0 Up until March 12, 2018 I was sending and receiving email for 3 frontier.com addresses with Thunderbird without any problems. Since I was going to need webmail I checked to make sure that there were no sign-in issues. I couldn't sign-in to any of my 3 webmail accounts. I contacted Frontier tech support at that point. Webmail access was re-established. However, I could no longer access email with Thunderbird. After several calls to the Frontier techs I was told to "Call Thunderbird." I have carefully entered 2 sets of settings - one Yahoo & one Frontier: pop.mail.yahoo.com port 995 smtp.mail.yahoo.com port 465 password is an "app specific password" issued by Frontier SSL/TLS

pop3.frontier.com smtp.frontier.com password is an "app specific password" issued by Frontier SSL/TLS The Yahoo settings work for one of the email addresses in Thunderbird but not the other 2. I have created a new profile uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird & Followed instructions on the Mozilla support pages for "Can't send or receive email." I'm stumped! Thank you

Perhaps you could get frontier to advise how you enable the yahoo "less secure apps" setting in their interface. Then if you can get the information you might post it here. I have little doubt that that will be the issue, but how to get around this default yahoo setting that locks out all mail clients I really do not know unless you can "flick the switch" somewhere in your frontier settings

Matt Thank you for answering. No luck getting Frontier to advise how you enable the yahoo "less secure apps" setting in their interface. However, I decided to delete the "app specific password" in the Frontier Account Editor. Then back on my laptop I was able to access all 3 of my emails with the same password that I use for webmail. handygirl1
