"Remember login for sites" option is greyed out, how can I make it accessible again? I have tries starting in safe mode, but the issue persists.

Firefox used to automatically log me in to gmail and other google applications. I made a change about deleting history when I logged out, and it no longer automatically logged me in, but still auto-filled the email and then password. Now it doesn't even do that, for other (non-google) sites as well. None of them are asking me to remember the login either. I checked Options -> Security, and the "Remember login for sites" option is greyed out so I don't have the option to check it. I am not in private browsing mode. I have tried starting in Safe Mode, and the box is still greyed out.

Separate Security Issue, please update your Flash 29.0 r0 Flash Player Version: 30.0.0.113 Current Version ( emergency patch ) https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>

Please try this : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 52.8.1 with a Full Version Installer

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Make sure you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; Never Remember History).

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
  • remove checkmark: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"
