About 2 weeks ago I noticed that my passwords stopped updating while using Firefox. I have tried erasing the old password and reentering the new but it always reverts back to the old.

Hi, off Topic : do you realize that Windows 10 has replaced your Video Card Drivers with : adapterDescription: Microsoft Basic Display Driver There are errors all over and functions disabled : Bad = Blocklisted, u'unavailble, u'blacklisted, disabled

u'HW_COMPOSITING'}, {u'status': u'blacklisted', u'description': u'Direct3D11 Compositing', u'log': [{u'status': u'available', u'type': u'default'}, {u'status': u'blacklisted', u'message': u'#BLOCKLIST_FEATURE_FAILURE_UNKNOWN_DEVICE_VENDOR', u'type': u'env'}], u'name': u'D3D11_COMPOSITING'}, {u'status': u'unavailable', u'description': u'Direct2D', u'log': [{u'status': u'unavailable', u'message': u'Direct2D requires Direct3D 11 compositing', u'type': u'default'}], u'name': u'DIRECT2D'}, {u'status': u'disabled', u'description': u'Direct3D11 hardware ANGLE', u'log': [{u'status': u'unavailable', u'message': u'D3D11 compositing is disabled', u'type': u'default'}, {u'status': u'disabled', u'message': u'D3D11 compositing is disabled', u'type': u'env'}], u'name': u'D3D11_HW_ANGLE'}, {u'status': u'blacklisted', u'description': u'GPU Process', u'log': [{u'status': u'available', u'type': u'default'}, {u'status': u'blacklisted', u'message': u'#BLOCKLIST_FEATURE_FAILURE_UNKNOWN_DEVICE_VENDOR',

If you know your make of Video Card driver you possible can download something better than Microsoft generic driver possibly from early 90's Search for Device Manager and will find the info there. It possibly has changed other drivers as well. https://www.howtogeek.com/302595/how-to-stop-windows-10-from-automatically-updating-hardware-drivers/

Try this for Passwords : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 61.0.1 with a Full Version Installer

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Does Firefox ask to update the passwords?

Note that in Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; Never Remember History) you can't save a new password and Firefox won't offer to update a stored password.

It is possible that there is a problem with the logins.json and key4.db files in the profile folder that store the passwords. Make sure to make a note of all the passwords you see in the Password Manager before proceeding. You can try to rename logins.json (loginsOLD.json) and key4.db (key4OLD.db) in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed. This will remove all the currently stored passwords, so make sure to make a note like I posted above. If necessary you can undo the rename to get your previous login data back.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
