cursor at Firefox launch not ready for typing

Back to this problem again, launch Firefox and start typing and then look at screen and nothing has appeared, the cursor is not 'active' in the search window upon launch anymore. I recall this annoying problem then it went, but its back again. Others made mention but I cant find the thread.

try to enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up), search for the preference named accessibility.browsewithcaret and make sure that it is set to false.

First launch each day will be slower than opening Firefox later in the day. The "first launch" looks to a lot of web servers for things like Firefox & Add-on updates, for SafeBrowsing & other "list" updates, and the like. Later in the day launches are faster because the Firefox & Add-ons update checks aren't done. Plus if you are using Sync, the "current" load on the Sync server or Firefox Accounts could be a factor which could affect "launch time".

Plus extensions being loaded slow the process down for all "launches" with Firefox 62, slower for me over Fx 61 and prior; but very noticeable for the "first launch". Not having that problem with another Profile I use which has no Add-ons that I installed.
