I´m fed up with automatic (bad) translation of some pages. I have clicked on the pop option: "delete translation for this page" soooo many times, but it is there again the next time. I NEVER want any automatic translations!

Hello petrea9,

Firefox doesn't 'do' translations .....

You might have an add-on installed (and forgotten all about it, which is unlikely) or you could be dealing with the Google Translate Toolbar.

Would you please take a look at this thread (you'll have to scroll down some) :

Hello McCoy,

Sorry, I do not understand point 1 in the explanation: "wrench"? Where?

You´re right: it´s Google toolbar. Unfortunately, Google only seems to know how to fix this in Google Chrome! Tells us to ask Firefox!

About wrench: I thought so, it is just not there!

Alas, the other links seem to indicate that it is necesary to install yet another ad-on or so! Hope it is not so!

Why on earth is Google doing this to us: they are not getting more advertising money out of a toolbar!!!

I can't check that for you, cause I don't have that annoying
toolbar ......

Quite the opposite : they say to check to see if maybe you have an extension, that might be related to this toolbar, installed.

Have you checked  ?

3-bar menu (or Tools) => Add-ons => Extensions
