columns and sort order settings the same everywhere
Since I have multiple e-mail accounts and a lot of sub folders, about 100 in mine first e-mail address, I want them everywhere to have the same look.
Everywhere show the size of the mail and everywhere sort on date. The newest on top. The same columns etc.
Doing this for all my folders, it is a very lot of work and if concentration gets less you make mistakes. Is there a app witch can do this recursive? or.... How difficult is it programming a (such) ad-on?

Try clicking on the far right column select icon to see drop down list and at the bottom select 'Apply columns to ' this will offer options to choose single folders, folders and subsfolders or mail accounts .
To set default sort by Date Descending (newest on top):
'Menu icon' > 'Options' > 'Advanced' > 'General' tab click on 'Config editor' In search type: sort
To set as 'descending' - newest at top the following lines must have Value = 2
- mailnews.default_news_sort_order
- mailnews.default_sort_order
right click on each line and select 'Modify' Change integer value to say 2 and click on 'OK'
To set as 'sort by 'Date' - the following lines must have Value = 18
- mailnews.default_news_sort_type
- mailnews.default_sort_type
right click on each line and select 'Modify' Change integer value to say 18 and click on 'OK'
Close window click on 'OK' to save and close Options window.
Unfortunately it didn't work. See image. I made this image after making changes closing and reopening thunderbird.
