Hey folks, I've Thunderbird set up syncing several accounts via GMAIL using Imap. It works great, but one issue I've noticed is that moving messages to, I think one folder in particular, can be very slow. It will freeze Thunderbird for a few seconds, and I've a pretty decently spec'd laptop!

There's about 30,000 emails in the folder that the slow down happens with. I don't THINK it happens with other folders, but I can't be sure.

When I open Gmail from my phone and move mails from my inbox to another "label", it's instantaneous, even the same label/folder that's slow on Thunderbird, so it must be something to do with Thunderbird as opposed to Gmail?

Furthermore, once I move messages initially, then the next few times I move messages to the same folder, it's much faster?!

Any feedback on the above would be great! :)

Thanks for the reply! I used to use an anti virus, but now I'm on Windows 10 and just let the included windows defender take care of that. I don't have any AV on my phone either.
