A couple of weeks ago I discovered I can no longer open my hotmail account. Ive tried numerous times going through my desktop link and also by googling hotmail and trying it that way.It asks me to sign in and after that nothing happens.Previously I just clicked on the sign in box and it did it automatically. Ive searched the web and tried the suggestion of typing in about:config and turning the option of changing the option

security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling to false but that hasnt worked.
Chrome and Safari let me open hotmail without any problems.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance

Are you getting any error messages? Have you tried https://outlook.live.com/

Have you tried other Microsoft links?

Hi...I reinstalled firefox thinking it might do the trick I also refreshed it.This has made things even worse. For every site I normally visit including hotmail, google, amazon etc I get the attached messages....some of which allow me to add an exception while others dont. So at the moment it is virtually unusable.

Weirdly it lets me access ebay after adding an exception but to no avail since the homepage looks like the attached screenshot

There is security software like Avast, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connection certificates and send their own.

Thanks for your very helpful reply. I disabled the web and mail shields in avast and hey presto everything worked as it should! Ive now turned them on again and everything is still working...at least for now. Cheers
