This applies to all versions/releases for firefox/waterfox. Please add a conformation prompt to >>tools>clear downloads. I use a touch screen laptop and some times just passing the cursor over the field or touching the screen in the wrong place deletes my download history. The "clear downloads" appears in two places: the top of the library menu and when right clicking on a download item... thanks, Craig

I'm currently using waterfox 58.2.8(64-bit) on win 10

Hi Craig, Waterfox is a third party evolution of Firefox 56 and its developers can make the change in their code base.

If you pretty much never want to use Clear Downloads, you can use a custom style rule in a userChrome.css file to hide that item from where it appears on right-click context menus and drop-down menus.

A good site to get custom style rule assistance is:

https://www.reddit.com/r/FirefoxCSS/

I have a page on how to set up a userChrome.css file here:
