Thunderbird program lost my account settings and all past emails, local folders have disappeared, contacts still there, please help.
Turning on my computer today, upon opening my Thunderbird email program I was confused when I was prompted to set up my account. It appears that from the last time I used the computer to today (7 days ) the computer/ program wiped all of the account details. The Thunderbird program was still in existence so I didn't need to download the program. So I re-establish creating the account with the same info as before, Thunderbird opens, to my surprise all of my previously saved emails and categorized local folders have vanished. The Junk and trash folders still contain unwanted emails, my address book is still intact. The digital signature info has been wiped out. Where have my emails gone? Can I retrieve them somehow? You probably haven't lost your data, just that TB has lost track of the profile, so it started as if it was a new setup:
