My old laptop crashed and I have synchronized my thunderbird account and mails onto my new laptop. However I am getting all the mails as a chunk in my inbox since none of my 50+ filters is being taken in consideration. Might there be a way to import those old filters onto the new laptop without having to reset them one by one ?

Thanks

Filters are stored in the msgFilterRules.dat file in each account subfolder in the Mail or ImapMail folders in the profile folder, and can be copied from one profile to another. Help/Troubleshooting, click Show in Finder to open the profile folder. Close TB before making any edits.

thanks for the above insights. I made it to the msgfilterRules and dowloaded it onto my desktop but can't seem to import it onto my new profile. How do I go about that part ? Thanks

Open the profile folder, close TB, and copy the dat file into the correct account subfolder of Mail (for POP accounts) or ImapMail (for IMAP accounts). Each account subfolder has an empty dat file which you will overwrite with the one from the desktop.
