Vertical scollbar too thin to select on all sites, including Mozilla

more options

I can't figure out how to make the vertical scrollbar actually usable. Firefox works fine on my PC but I also have a new Mac and on that machine the scrollbar is totally unusable on all sites, even with a stylus. I saw a couple posts about creating some custom code for this but I'm not a developer. This can't be only my problem? How do I just make it wider?

I was reminded this morning that there is an add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/custom-scrollbars/

These days it seems people want to make the scrollbars thinner or even invisible. I have code in my userContent.css file which, so far, only works for me. It colours and widens the vertical scrollbar as shown in the screenshot on this page at zoom of 100%. The slider is Cornflower Blue and the track is a light grey. The only other way I know of to widen the bar (on a Linux system) is edit a system theme file (but I have never found the right file on my system) so there may be something you can ask about in Mac support for your OS.

If you press the middle button on your mouse, you can change the mouse into a scroll controler.

Thanks, that helps! I use a stylus so no mouse scrollwheel.
