Cannot enable add-ons

more options

Some of my add-ons have disabled themselves and there is no option to enable. I found a potential solution at this thread https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1276602 but wanted to clarify what to delete in the Profile Folder. I can't continue that thread because it is too old apparently.

The help says to: Delete all extensions* fileS and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry. There is only ONE FILE starting with extensionS. That would be extensions.json

It says to delete extensions* fileS. Could someone please clarify if I'm supposed to delete: extension-preferences.json extension-settings.json extensions Folder

Thank you!

Chosen solution

Hi notthatyoko, I would start with the extensions.json file only.

However, have any of your extensions stored valuable information that you can't afford to lose? Renaming that file usually breaks the connection between extensions and their previous storage locations.

Thanks! No, none of the extensions had data I needed to keep. I ended up reinstalling some extensions from the developer sites, and the others I noticed were quite old and I didn't need anymore.
