Adding address from address book to template
This must be easy to do but I can't find an answer. I have a template, I open the template, how to I add an address from the address book to send the message. All my searches give answers on how to save templates and how to open a template, but not an answer on this question. Thanks for any help.

Try opening the compose window and then use the view menu. Or press F9. Either will work.

Adding an email address to any message is the same for any email you wish to send whether it is a new Write message, a draft you are editing before sending or a template email which you have opened in Write window to edit/complete and send.
You can start typing directly into the 'To' field and select required email address from the auto complete drop down options. OR You can use the 'Contacts Sidebar' where you select the address book name to see list of contacts. select the contact and click on eg: 'Addto To' button

Why wouldn't they allow you to either write ( compose new message ) or write ( from template ) from the address book. I guess that would be too easy.
I would love this option: View > Toolbars > Contacts Sidebar I don't have this. I know I'm running the latest version. Anyone know how I can add the Contacts Sidebar?

That worked thanks :)
re :Why wouldn't they allow you to either write ( compose new message ) from the address book ?
At the link I posted - it shows how to use the Address Book to create a new Write message. It is the last section, so you would need to scroll to the bottom. Basically:
- Open Address Book,
- select address book containing contact
- select contact
- click on 'Write'
So you can do this via the Address Book, but if you do not have the Address Book open at the time, it involves extra steps/clicks, hence it is much quicker to click on 'Write' and use the autocomplete method or the 'Contacts Sidebar'.
