Update from v78 to v91 causing a problem
After update from v78 to v91 viewing attachments does not work properly - for every file type except PDF, Thunderbird always wants to know what to do with the file. The proper program is already defaulted and the "do this automatically" box is already ticked so I click on OK and the file is displayed correctly. However the "Do this automatically" seems to be ignored as the question pops up for subsequent opens of that file type. As mentioned earlier opening PDF files works correctly just like it did in V78. This common process worked perfectly in V78

Thanks SF for the prompt reply. The bugzilla list is quite active so hopefully the problem will be resolved as more and more users will be moving to v91 and discovering the problem . . . and complaining. The problem is annoying and aggravating but is not a killer so I will patiently await a fix. I was very relieved to read your bugzilla info to find it was not me alone with the problem. Best Regards
I reported this issue when I first noticed it in Beta 86. For some reason the report has been closed.
I generated that ticket seven (7) months ago.
Problem still persists.

Hopefully with V91 getting a growing number of users, a fix will become more of a priority. After all opening an attachment has to be a very widely used feature.
