How to update all bookmark favicons

more options

I imported bookmarks from another browser and now they're all generic globe favicons. Is there any way to globally refresh/update favicons? There used to be an extension "favicon updater" which is no longer available. It's unbelievable there is apparently no way to do this.

Firefox stores them as you browse, so you would need to load all of those URLs.

Be aware that Firefox won't store the icon for any bookmark the site redirects (for example, from http to https), you'll need to update the bookmark URL to the new final address in that case.

It would be handy if there were an extension for all of that, but I don't know of one myself.
