Lost all my inbox & outbox emails but have them backed up on Acronis. Where are they located?

more options

Am having an issue with sending emails from Comcast all of a sudden using Thunderbird today. Called Comcast. I can send emails from Comcast website so the issue is with Thunderbird. An agent was helping me and was changing smtp settings inbound and outbound. Then the emails would not pull so we tried changing them back and the agent was disconnected.

I tried to remove the email address thinking I could reinstall it but I lost all my inbox and outbox emails that were saved from the past 10 or more years.

I do a weekly backup of my entire hard drive on Acronis. So I know I should be able to restore these inbox and outboxes, but I do not know where they are located once I open the Acronis recovery software for recovering files.

Can anyone direct me where to look?

Thank you.

Success!! Haven't a clue really how I got it to work Matt. Do you think I successfully recoverd it into Local Folders from Acronis? I am not sure if it was there after it said it had been recovered successfully. It obviously was recovered somewhere!

One last question. This new traveling46 email account is way down on the list of email addresses. How can I move it up so it appears next to the email addresses I use the most?

Thank you again!

I'm trying to find the Profiles using this command in the Search field of the Acronis True Image Home Edition:

%APPDATA%\Thunderbird\Profiles\

I have a bunch of email addresses but only need to locate one called traveling46 for the inbox and outbox

Will I be able to see the name Thunderbird once I locate this path or is there something more I should do in order to do so?

Thank you for any assistance any of you can offer on this!

Lesson 1. Your ISP has no idea. Lesson 2. Deleting a pop account is tantamount to disaster and should not be done. Lesson 3. Recovery using a backup is rarely useful as your deletion has changed the contents of configuration files and you really do not want to restore everything.

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Thunderbird_:_FAQs_:_Recover_Deleted_Account

You have already completed the number one in their recovery steps list.

I found the Profile and in a subfolder the folder called Mail in which there were 3 Comcast folders. The one I need to recover is comcast1. I placed a check mark in this folder and recovered it. But when I launched Thunderbird I did not see any difference in the existing traveling46 email address other than 39 emails from the past few days.

Any ideas on where it might have been recovered too or what should I do next?

Hi Matt, I'm totally lost as to what to do. I had recreated that traveling46 comcast account and it now has 40 emails that it pulled from the Comcast server. I tried going into Local Folders but did not see the Profile. I then went into App Data, Roaming and again found the profile that I mentioned above and restarted it. But nothing happened. I then cliked on Import but I do not see anything except Becky Internet Mail!, Outlook and Sea Monkey.

Really feel so inept knowing it is somewhere but am clueless now how to find it.

Oh wait a minute!!!

I just looked in Local Folders and all of the inbox and outbox from traveling46 are indeed there!!!

Not sure how that happened!!

Was it from the recovery I did from Acronis?

In any event, how do I moved all of these emails from Local Folders to the traveling46 folder?

drag and drop works for me.
