the 'hamburger' (3 horizontal lines) icon should be on the browser's toolbar. This opens the settings. The 'X' to close the window should be at the upper-right corner of the window.

Some have reported not seeing the 3 window control buttons. Sometimes this works; Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Make sure you run Firefox in desktop mode and not in tablet mode.
